Finding Myself

In the depths of my soul, a journey begins

To find myself, to know where I've been

I wander through forests and climb up high hills

In search of the truth, in search of my skills

I gaze at the stars and ponder my fate

As I walk through the valleys, I try not to hate

For I know that the answer lies deep within

And I must keep searching, I must not give in

I meet wise old sages, who offer advice

They tell me to listen, to be open and nice

They say that the key to finding oneself

Is to look inward, to put pride on the shelf

I learn to be patient, to trust in the process

To let go of fear and to release my stress

I meditate daily, I breathe in the air

I let go of my worries, I let go of my cares

And slowly but surely, I start to see

The person I am, the person I'll be

I find joy in the small things, in nature's embrace

In the laughter of children, in a warm embrace

I find peace in the silence, in moments alone

In the stillness of dusk, in the quiet unknown

I find strength in my struggles, in battles long fought

In the lessons I've learned, in the wisdom I've sought

I find love in my heart, for others and me

In the kindness I give, in the empathy I see

I find purpose in living, in each passing day

In the chance to be better, in the words that I say

So as I continue on this journey of mine

I know that the path will twist and will wind

But I am not afraid, for I know that I'll find

Myself in the end, in the depths of my mind.
